Corporate Kokoda is a staged adaptive capacity model designed to develop leaders who can regulate, decide, and act under sustained pressure. It is built on the science of deliberate stress, progressive load, and non-negotiable integration — not adrenaline.
Counselling & Trauma-Informed Practice
Psychological safety is foundational. Every intervention is grounded in evidence-based counselling frameworks.
Exercise Physiology & Load Management
Progressive physical conditioning built on sound exercise science — not military-style punishment.
Performance Psychology
Behavioural accountability, emotional regulation, and identity-level leadership development.
Applied Kokoda History
Campaign case studies examine command under uncertainty, moral courage, and collective accountability.
Growth is deliberate. Stress is progressive. Integration is non-negotiable.
The 6-Month Architecture
Three distinct phases move participants from readiness to immersion to deep integration. Each phase builds on the last — creating a leadership development arc that extends far beyond the finish line.
Most leadership programs end at the high point. Corporate Kokoda begins its deepest work precisely there — in the weeks and months after the Track, when real behavioural change is forged.
Phase 1 — Foundations of Leadership Capacity
Weeks 1–12
The first 12 weeks build the physiological, psychological, and behavioural readiness required for high-stakes performance. Participants enter a structured Campfire Academy syllabus that treats preparation as the first leadership act.
Executive Self-Assessment
Each participant completes adaptive capacity profiling, stress load mapping, a leadership identity audit, emotional regulation baseline, and physical capacity screening.
Outputs include a 1:1 coaching session, an Individual Development Plan, and a personal load progression framework.
What You Receive
Adaptive capacity profile
Stress load map
Leadership identity audit
Emotional regulation baseline
Individual Development Plan (IDP)
Personal load progression framework
Physical Conditioning & Nutrition Intelligence
This is not "get fit for Kokoda." It is build capacity for leadership under load — a 12-week program designed and supervised through exercise physiology principles, teaching participants that physical adaptation and leadership adaptation are the same process.
Physical Conditioning (12 Weeks)
Aerobic base development
Strength and joint resilience
Pack-load progression
Heat and terrain adaptation
Recovery sequencing education
The Science of Adaptation
Hormesis vs overload
Stress physiology and cortisol literacy
Recovery as performance strategy
HRV and nervous system literacy
Sleep optimisation protocols
Nutrition Intelligence
Fuel timing for performance
Alcohol, inflammation and decision quality
Stress physiology in the field
Practical workshops, not theory
Physiology drives cognition
Psychological & Emotional Preparation
Leadership identity is not declared — it is built under pressure. Phase 1 concludes with structured modules that prepare participants to regulate, communicate, and lead in conditions of genuine stress.
Nervous System Regulation Under Pressure
Practical tools for managing physiological arousal and maintaining cognitive clarity when the stakes are highest.
PEC Integration
Physical–Emotional–Cognitive alignment — the framework that underpins decision-making under fatigue and uncertainty.
Decision-Making Under Fatigue
Evidence-based models for maintaining sound judgement when cognitive load and physical exhaustion converge.
Conflict Repair & Values Clarification
Structured frameworks for repairing relational ruptures and articulating a clear Leadership Position Statement before departure.
Participants depart for PNG with a completed Leadership Position Statement — a written articulation of their values, identity, and behavioural commitments as a leader.
Phase 2 — The Kokoda Immersion
8 Days on the Track
The Track is the applied laboratory. Eight days of guided immersion where physical fatigue becomes the catalyst for identity-level insight — and history becomes the lens through which modern leadership is examined.
Evening Reflection Circles
Structured facilitation each night, integrating the day's physical and historical experience into personal leadership narrative.
Historical Leadership Analysis
Guided case studies from the 1942 Kokoda campaign examine command under uncertainty, moral courage, and endurance without recognition.
Real-Time Behavioural Feedback
Facilitators observe and reflect participant behaviour in real time — surfacing patterns invisible in the boardroom.
What the Track Reveals
The 1942 Kokoda campaign offers one of history's most instructive leadership laboratories. Corporate Kokoda uses its historical record deliberately — not for inspiration, but for rigorous analysis applied to contemporary leadership challenges.
Command Under Uncertainty
Decisions made with incomplete information, under fire, with lives at stake. The campaign tests whether leaders default to paralysis or principled action when clarity is unavailable.
Collective Accountability
No individual finishes the Track alone. The immersion surfaces how leaders show up for others when their own reserves are depleted — and what that reveals about character.
Endurance Without Recognition
The Kokoda campaign demanded sustained output with minimal reinforcement. Participants confront their own relationship with recognition, validation, and intrinsic motivation.
The Track is not the goal. Integration is.
Phase 3 — Post-Kokoda Integration
Weeks 14–24
Most programs end at the finish line. Corporate Kokoda begins its deepest work there. The 10 weeks following the Track are where insight becomes behaviour, and behaviour becomes culture. Without structured integration, the post-adventure decline is inevitable. This program is designed to prevent it.
The Integration Architecture
1
Immediate Reintegration
1:1 debrief session, identity integration conversation, and a structured plan for translating Track insights into immediate workplace behaviour.
2
90-Day Behavioural Plan
Participants commit to specific leadership behaviour changes, conflict management upgrades, recovery protocols, and decision-making frameworks — all measured and coached.
3
Growth Weekends (Day 60 & 120)
Two immersion weekends focused on leadership recalibration, stress inoculation simulations, advanced communication drills, and team accountability forums.
4
Ongoing Executive Coaching
Monthly 1:1 sessions, optional counselling support, and an organisational feedback loop for corporate-sponsored participants.
Measurable Leadership Outcomes
Corporate Kokoda is not measured by completion. It is measured by demonstrable change — in how participants regulate, decide, communicate, and lead under conditions that matter.
Improved Stress Regulation
Participants demonstrate measurable improvement in their ability to regulate under pressure — physiologically and cognitively.
Increased Leadership Clarity
A defined Leadership Position Statement and behavioural commitments that replace reactive leadership with principled action.
Higher Behavioural Accountability
Structured measurement and coaching ensures that intentions convert to observable behavioural change in the workplace.
Stronger Physical Resilience
A foundation of physical capacity that directly supports cognitive performance, emotional regulation, and sustained output.
Emotional Regulation Shifts
Measurable shifts in how leaders respond under interpersonal and organisational pressure — less reactive, more grounded.
Identity-Based Leadership
An integrated philosophy of leadership grounded in personal values, lived experience, and deliberate behavioural practice.
Who This Program Is For
Corporate Kokoda is a selective program. It demands genuine commitment to identity-level growth — and it delivers accordingly. Participants are chosen as much for their willingness to confront themselves as for their organisational seniority.
Designed For
Senior executives and C-suite leaders
Emerging high-potential leaders
High-performance teams
Defence and emergency services leaders
Organisations seeking genuine culture reset
Not Suitable For
Adventure tourism seekers
Passive participants
Leaders unwilling to confront identity-level growth
This distinction matters. Corporate Kokoda's outcomes depend on the quality of participants who enter the program. Selection is part of the design.
Corporate Kokoda is a six-month leadership immersion built on physiology, psychology, and history — culminating on the Kokoda Track and integrated back into corporate life.
It is not a trek. It is a transformation architecture.
